DAY 5: RED DEAD REDEMPTION

WHY ITS ON THIS LIST:

• You play as John Marston, possibly the most likeable character in video game history ever. Ole John always has a laid back attitude even when staring the the barrel of a shot gun. He always knows the right thing to say to the ladies, the villains, the law,Indian chiefs, etc. You really start to care for John by the end of the game.
• The free roam map is huge (not as big as some GTA game maps, but huge none the less). You can ride from modern 1911 “big city” to open plains, dusty Mexico, high mountains, or frontier towns and the landscape will take your breath away.
• There are endless adventures to get into on the range thanks to a great free play option.
• Both the main story and many of the side missions verge on the unsettling and eerie. One mission involves a cannibal and another you come face to face with Jesus or the devil (I never figured out which he/it was).
• You can break in horses, hunt, collect flora & fauna, cattle drive for hours and not get bored.
